NOMAD SPIRIT PROJECT IN DEREN SOUM

Community art project in Mongolia, 2024. 

During my artist residency in the remote village of Deren Soum in the Gobi area of Mongolia I organised a community art project involving around 250 school children from nomadic families of the area. The children explored experimental ink painting techniques using materials sourced locally. The works created by the children were displayed in the sport complex of the village school for a public art day and exhibition.
